PENYULUHAN TENTANG PERAN FISIOTERAPI PADA SCOLIOSIS DI SDN 03 PASAR BAWAN KECAMATAN AMPEK ANGKEK NAGARI

Abstrak

Masa anak-anak merupakan masa emas (golden age) bagi setiap orang. Dimasa ini, anak mengalami tumbuh kembang yang luar biasa, baik dari segi emosi, kognitif, psikososial maupun fisik. Masalah tumbuh kembang yang sering dialami oleh anak adalah masalah postur seperti skoliosis, lordosis, kiposis, asimetris bahu. Pada masa ini akan terbawa sampai usia dewasa apabila tidak segera diatasi. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan deteksi dini masalah postur anak untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang dialami oleh anak- anak. Disamping itu sangat perlu untuk memberikan terapi latihan apabila ditemukan masalah postur pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak sekolah dasar tentang gangguan pada tulang belakang dan program terapi latihan untuk mengurangi gejala-gejala pada scoliosis. Kegiatan pengabdian diikuti oleh 40 peserta. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukan peningkatan pengetahuan anak sekolah dasar tentang scoliosis.

Abstract

Childhood is a golden age for everyone. At this time, children experience extraordinary growth and development, both in terms of emotions, cognitive, psychosocial and physical. Growth problems that are often experienced by children are posture problems such as scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis, shoulder asymmetry. At this time it will carry over into adulthood if it is not immediately addressed. Therefore, it is necessary to do early detection of children's posture problems to identify problems experienced by children. Besides, it is very necessary to provide exercise therapy if posture problems are found in children. This community service activity was carried out to increase the knowledge of elementary school children about spinal disorders and exercise therapy programs to reduce the symptoms of scoliosis. The service activity was attended by 40 participants. The results of the service activities showed an increase in the knowledge of elementary school children about scoliosis.
