Abstract

Breastfeeding is a unique way of providing ideal food for the healthy growth and development of babies. So that we as health workers must contribute to mothers so that the breastfeeding process can run according to the target of exclusive breastfeeding. Insufficient milk production makes mothers experience difficulties in the breastfeeding process, especially in the early postpartum period. One of the efforts to overcome the lack of smooth milk production is by means of oxytocin massage and providing education on correct breastfeeding techniques. The purpose of this community service is so that postpartum mothers can know and understand how to deal with breast milk that does not come out during breastfeeding so that the prevalence of babies who do not get exclusive breastfeeding is higher. The method of implementing community service is the stages of counseling, practice and evaluation. After this community service was carried out, it was found that there wasan increase in the knowledge and skills of postpartum mothers for the breastfeeding process.
