PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG BAHAYA MEROKOK PADA IBU MENYUSUI

Abstract

Breastfeeding is the process of giving milk to babies or small children with breast milk (ASI) from the mother's breasts. All efforts made to help mothers achieve success in breastfeeding their babies is called lactation management. Cigarettes are an addictive substance which, when used, can cause health hazards for individuals and society. In Bukit Cangang Kayu Ramang, Guguak Panjang subdistrict, 4 out of 10 breastfeeding mothers smoke or the number is 40%. This community service aims to increase mothers' knowledge about the dangers of smoking while breastfeeding. The results of the activity showed that there had been an increase in maternal knowledge so that mothers had begun to gradually stop smoking while breastfeeding. This activity was carried out in the Bukik Canggang sub-district, Guguak Panjang sub-district.
