THE INFLUENCE OF IRON CUTTING MACHINE NOISE WITH HEARING LOSS IN WELDING WORKSHOP WORKERS IN CAMPAGO IPUH BUKITTINGGI IN 2024
Abstract
Background: The noise generated by metal cutting machines can have negative impacts on workers' hearing health and psychological well-being. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between noise from metal cutting machines and workers' health at the Campago Ipuh welding workshop in Bukittinggi in 2024. Methods: This research employs a descriptive observational method with a cross-sectional approach, involving 10 workers as the sample. Data were collected through noise level measurements and health questionnaires. Results: The results show that 100% of the workers were exposed to noise levels exceeding the prescribed threshold, and there is a significant relationship between noise levels and hearing complaints. Conclusion: This study concludes that noise control in the workplace is essential to protect workers' health.
