PELVIC ROCKING EXERCISE DENGAN MEDIA GYM BALL UNTUK MENGURANGI NYERI PUNGGUNG PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III

Abstract


Pain is a problem that often occurs in pregnancy, especially in the third trimester due to hormonal changes during pregnancy and affects the flexibility of ligament tissue, causing discomfort for pregnant women. This study aims to determine the Pelvic Rocking Exercise intervention using Gym Ball as a medium for back pain in third trimester pregnant women. The sample in this study was 10 respondents from third trimester pregnant women. The pain instrument uses the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). The intervention was given 8 treatments. Pain evaluation was measured using VAS. The results of the research on providing Pelvic Rocking Exercise showed that the average before the intervention was 6.30 and after the intervention it decreased to 3.20, Pvalue=0.003, meaning that there was a decrease in the intensity of back pain by using Pelvic Rocking Exercise via Gym Ball media for pregnant women in the third trimester, therefore Pelvic Exercise Rocking via the Gym Ball media can be used as a non-pharmacological exercise to reduce pain in third trimester pregnant women.
