FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN DIARE PADA BAYI DAN BALITA DI PMB DINY NAHRUDIANI, SKM, ST.r.Keb DI DESA KARACAK KECAMATAN LEUWILIANG KABUPATEN BOGOR TAHUN 2023

Abstract

According to  the World Health Organization (WHO) diarrheal diseases are the second cause of death in children under five years old, and cause the death of about 525,000 children each year. One of the factors causing the high mortality rate of infants and toddlers in Indonesia is diarrhea. Basic health research in 2018 stated the prevalence of diarrhea for all age groups at 8% and the prevalence rate for toddlers at 12.3%, while in infants, the prevalence of diarrhea was 10.6%. Objective: This study is to determine the factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea in infants and toddlers. Method: This research is a research design with a Cross Sectional study design approach. Population and Samples are mothers who have infants and toddlers totaling 187 respondents in this study samples taken using the Accidental Sampling method.  Data collection technique using Questionnaire, with Chi-Square data analysis. Results: Research with Chi-Square test  shows that there is a relationship between Maternal Education (p-value = 0.028<0.05), and Nutritional Status (p-value = 0.009<0.05) with the incidence of Diarrhea in Infants and Toddlers at PMB Diny Nahrudiani, SKM, STr.Keb. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the incidence of diarrhea with age, exclusive breastfeeding, formula milk, nutritional status, education level, employment level, social and economic, clean and healthy lifestyle, clean water and no relationship with sex.
