ANALISIS PENATALAKSANAAN PROGRAM REHABILITASI PASIEN PASCA STROKE DI RUMAH SAKIT OTAK DR. DRS. M. HATTA BUKITTINGGI

Abstract

Stroke is a neurological disease with a high incidence rate and most often results in disability and death. Data recorded in the RSSN medical rehabilitation unit showed that the incidence of stroke in 2015 was 4,109 people and in 2016 there were 4,099 people. This research with quantitative methods with cross sectional design is descriptive, comparative associative. The aim is to determine the extent of the influence of the medical rehabilitation programme on post-stroke patients at the Bukittinggi National Stroke Hospital (RSSN) in 2017. Sampling using accidental sampling technique. The results of this study showed a significant relationship between medical rehabilitation service variables (p value 0.005 OR 4.484), family support (p value 0.004 OR 6.496) and controllable risk factors (p value 0.015 OR 10.577) on post-stroke patient variables. The most influential variable after multivariate testing is the medical rehabilitation service variable (p value 0.005). In conclusion, the variable that has the most influence on post-stroke patients in the medical rehabilitation programme is medical rehabilitation services. It is suggested that the role of the family should be further enhanced and become part of an important aspect of the medical rehabilitation programme in the recovery of post-stroke patients.
