Abstract


Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by infection with the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. From the data on patient visits at the  Tambusai Utara Health Center, it was recorded that there were 171 TB suspects in  Tambusai  Utara Village and 20 positive for pulmonary TB. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the transmission of pulmonary TB in the Tambusai Utara Village. This research was conducted using a cross sectional design. The sample in this study found 63 responden.  The Simple Random Sampling method. The analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate. The results of the study were 39.7% of people who had pulmonary TB transmission, 60.3% of people had deficiencies, 47.6% of people who behaved negatively, 34.9% of people whose household contacts were at risk of contracting Pulmonary TB and 52.4% of respondents stated that health workers had that role. There is a significant relationship between occupancy density p=0.004, behavior p=0.001 and household contact p=0.010, the role of health workers p=0.018 on the transmission of pulmonary TB.The conclusion is that there is a low relationship between the role of officers and the transmission of pulmonary TB. It is recommended for officers to further enhance their role in capturing suspects
