Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGMS) Pada Penderita Diabetes Mellitus : Tinjauan Literatur

Nurul Armalia, Tuti Herawati

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease but it is the biggest cause of death by 3% or an increase of 7 million years. In 2025 it is estimated that there will be 350 million people who will be issued by Diabetes Melitus. One thing that needs to be done in patients with diabetes mellitus is to check blood levels. Patients with diabetes mellitus are required to be independent in carrying out their health monitoring with a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system that facilitates monitoring with health assistance so that it can be controlled properly. Objective: to provide an overview and discussion of the results of a literature review on the development of an approved system in patients with diabetes mellitus. Method: Analysis of some literature obtained from several online databases by examining 10 journals so as to produce relevant conclusions and new ideas. Through this tool, nurses and families quickly and easily find out glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus and can provide initial treatment when conditions are unstable
